Our latest venture into new restaurants landed us at Tracy's Saloon and Eatery. And it was delicious. There were nachos that tater tots instead of chips, veggie burgers, vanilla malts, and really fun music, which every generation at the table knew.

Making Monday: Teddy Bear

 

In an attempt to use up some of the materials we have sitting around this Bear pattern got chosen. He is very friendly, though he was not very easy to make, I am happy with the result. His blue body is made from corduroy upholstery, his shirt scraps from Ghanaian fabric and his shorts are simple brown cotton.   

Selling Color

This piece sold recently and our proposal for Northern Spark 2013 was accepted.  More information on that to follow, but make sure to check us out at the Festival.

Looking

We have begun looking at houses to buy.  Quite exciting process.  We are looking for one with a porch, hardwood, four bedrooms, garden space, and places for awesome artsy things to happen.

Making Monday: Paper Chains

Our crafty young people were very creative with a paper chain project making them into hats, scarves, and very silly earrings.  This group is all over the color wheel with their choices, which is great to see.

Crafty Kids

Our crafty rock stars hard at play.  Today, we should find out about a proposal we sent in.  Waiting for the outcome is usually the hardest part.

New Growth

Our nephew seems to be growing by the second.  His favorite things thus far: smoothies, string cheese, and toilets. 

Making Monday: Sculpture Play

These things will someday soon become a cool outdoor sculpture.  Many a good time to be had working on it.

Victor's Cafe

This month's restaurant was Victor's Cafe. There was a wait even on a snowy Sunday afternoon, but it was a fun place to wait. With standing room only and walls covered in writing, we had a never ending supply of conversation and things to look at. The food was great, (Cuban food is so good!) and really everything was lovely, I would highly recommend going.
