Bread!

I have totally fallen in love with this bread recipe. The only thing I do differently, is vegan butter alternative instead of butter. I have also found that when I braid the dough and bake it that way I can just pull chunks off and eat it as straight bread. I would highly recommend at least giving it a try, though highly time consuming, it is totally worth it.

Making Monday: a Late Valentines Card

In the rush of everyday life this Valentine didn't even get started before Valentine's Day, but I say better late then never. A little knit heart, a simple white card, and a heartfelt message, later, happy feelings all around.

World's Largest Lite Brite

At Union Station in St. Paul, they World's Largest Lite Brite was lit up.  It has over half million pegs which were placed by over 600 volunteers.  It was glorious to see it go from dull to lit.

Making Monday: Duck Tape Rings

In a somewhat silly turn of events, we had our Duck Tape class on the floor.  It was probably the best one yet.  The kids decided to make Duck Tape rings.  Quite clever, really.

Making Monday: Pot Holder

Looking at some photos online I was inspired to crochet a vintage looking potholder. Once we figured out the pattern it crocheted right up. Though larger than I would have liked it will be lots of fun to put fresh pies on it.

Foxy Falafel

We went out for an early lunch to Foxy Falafel, over a month ago and it was amazing. We highly recommended going to try, really anything on the menu. Plus it is featured in some of the central corridor advertising, supporting local business and public transportation, got to love it.

MIA Visit

We went on a date night to the MIA to see the China's Terracotta Warriors, which was amazing. But it was also really nice to go early and wander through the museum. They have an amazing project going on called Art Remix, in which they place new pieces in the galleries of "classic art". It is so much fun to get a surprise when you turn the corner.
