Glimpses at a new home

Slowly but surely we are finding those beautiful corners in our new home, to love, to read in, to cook in, to wander through. For the rest of the Fridays in August and all of them in September we will give sneak peeks into our newest found treasures, right in our brand new home. Hope you enjoy!

Color Photoshoot

Infinite decided to photographize Monster for a fun and colorful photo shoot with our room as a back drop.  Homemade bunk bed, colorful homemade quilt, and natural light.  Beautiful.

Family Portrait

Taking a family portrait is part of our new traditions.  We just got around to taking the photo.  Infinite tried several times.  Then Monster put the camera on the table, set the timer, and this is the only picture she had to take.  We both like it quite a bit.

Flamingo

Infinite is taking pictures during 2013 for Powderhorn 365.  For this, I take a photograph in the Powderhorn Neighborhood every Friday and it is posted on a blog and put into a book at the end of the year.  Quite an exciting adventure it has been and will be.  Last week we went to Flamingo Divine Finds to take a photograph.  The place and people were wonderful with great things to see and low prices.  Check it out.  They are open 5 days each month.  We were fond of the oldish furniture and framed archives.

Paper Boat

Sometimes when I'm bored in a classroom at work I'll make little things out of paper I've found on the floor. And then I'll leave it in my pocket, once things start to pick up. When I come home and switch into pajamas I empty my pocket and re-find small treasures. Usually I will leave them somewhere, and every once in a while they will catch the right light, and make me smile, and live in that moment.

Spring

Two butterflies posing on the top of a beaver decapitated tree on our walk along the river, for sure signs of spring.
